We haven't noticed any background noise!

Q: My left one isn’t working at all and the only instructions I see is the push the button 3x. I did this and it still isn’t working. Any suggestions?

Disconnect your headphones wait 10-30 mins and reconnect them. That worked for me hopefully it will work for you

Q: My right ear bud is quieter then the left. Is this correct or should I return?

if it is a VERY noticeable difference, then return, otherwise, check if it is a problem with how u set ur sound settings on ur phone. I have a samsung phone and i am able to adjust how loud or quiet one side is compared to the other.
