After around 30 years heavy use the old lock was giving up the ghost. It was also 5mm too long. Even the old securing screw fitted the new lock, saving time needed to shorten the new one. Replacement probably took less than 10 minutes.

We bought this to replace a lock which had clearly had its day, sticking, jamming and generaaly being uncooperative. A quick gander on YouTube showed me what to do. We ordered what we needed. There the next day and bingo, slid into place like a good'un. We've never looked back. Sleeling soundly with that six pin beaty between us and those who would do us harm.
