Just buy it
By far the best LS pump money can buy. Perfect fit, all outside critical dimensions exactly as factory GM pump, but with more flow. Couples with Champion 3 row aluminum radiator and my 6.0 escalade hauls cars up long steep hills without breaking a sweat. Very nice product.

2004 Yukon Denali perfect operations and fit
Used many Melling products in the past and was not let down by this purchase. Decent price and came in factory packaging. Peace of mind for sure. Replaced on wife’s Yukon as her water pump was spitting coolant out the bottom. Came with quality gaskets too. Don’t hesitate and don’t go super cheap as this isn’t a horrible install but wouldn’t want to keep doing it over and over again.

Leaked from day 1.
The media could not be loaded. Installed this pump with a list of other parts. Rebuilt the whole cooling system on my Suburban. Drove about 50 miles and parked in the driveway and came out in the morning with a small coolant puddle under the truck. Contacted Melling and there customer service was top notch. Had a new pump a day later. Installed the new pump and within 10 minutes it was leaking again. I got frustrated and pulled the new pump back off and reinstalled the original factory pump. No more leak for now but the factory pump has 110k miles on it. Returned both pumps. Hopefully they can figure out the problem on why they leak. Looked like it was coming from where the cover was pressed on the back of the pump.

Fits 5.3L Perfectly
Water pump fit my Hummer H3 Alpha 5.3L perfectly and works like champ. Very satisfied. Its been in for many months now and circulating water as it should. Only 4 stars on longevity because it hasnt been installed long enough for more.

Great water pump.
I've been running this water pump on my airboat for almost a year now. It's out in the weather and has held up great. Delivery was quick no complaints

Like others, this POS leaked....
Installed it and within a couple days it started leaking. I contacted Melling (have copy of the email) explaining what happened and they said all i could do was take it back where it was purchased. Well... Amazon doesnt take used parts back and i dont have the box it came in. Sad that I company i respected as much as them treats customers this way. Back to AC Delco!
