quick and easy
I used it with a 12oz self-sealing can. You do NOT need any additional adapter. It was very simple:- turn on the car's AC to a cool setting- connect one end of the hose to the can,- connect the other end to the low pressure line of the car's AC,- check the pressure gauge to make sure your AC is low on freon. If it is high, you probably don't need to refill. If it is way high, your AC compressor probably is not engaged.- twist the can end of the valve IN so that it pushes the can's sealing pin in to release freon. For this step, I feel I could use some instruction but this tools comes with no instruction unfortunately. But this is what worked for me.- shake the can slowly, and turn the can sideway every few seconds. This will help release the refrigerant quicker. Look for two indicators that your procedure is working: the hose will start feel freezing cold, and the dial on the gauge will slowly go up.- When the can gets lighter and hose turns warmer, you are likely done.

Cheap, junk
Cheap Chinese garbage. Doesn’t even clip on the low side service port. Not deep enough. Save your money and buy one from a parts store

Nice little unit. $13.99
Got this a few days ago from this post, I've used it twice and it seems to function well. The first thing I noticed when looking for a Recharge Hose was manufacturers seem to hate saying how long these things are.I bought this one because it was apx. 16" in length, and many seem to be about 12" long. Dealing with all of the various hoses and conduit and protuberances you can trust me it's far betterfor this to be a little longer than needed than a little too short.Plus, recall one has to start the engine and have it running to add Refrigerant to an automobile A/C unit. You want to be able to place this unit and the attached can in a safe spot under the hood more easily if you are doing this yourself.Even if another is starting the vehicle for you, it's so much better to have a little more room to maneuver the can of "Freon". i.e. my can of R-134a said to hold it at a 9 O'clock position then to a 12 O'clock position while filling the A/C compressor. An extra 4" goes a long way in making this easier to accomplish.
