Tiny turntable that packs a big punch!!
The media could not be loaded. I’ve had my eye on these since Record Store Day earlier this year, and I finally bought one, and I love it. My local record store has these in stock occasionally, and the records seems to be pretty hot commodities. I have collected about a dozen titles so far, and according to my local store, there are plans for many more. The Thirdman release with Jack White is my favorite. The turntable itself doesn’t come with the records. I believe they did one with a Foo Fighters record on Record Store Day, but that seems to have sold-out. Mine arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I had it playing in about two minutes after unpacking. It runs on 4AA batteries, but also connects via mini-USB to just about anything for power. I ran it off my laptop at work, showing it off to some friends and co-workers. Here’s the funny thing, it’s comically small. Tiny even. It only plays 3” records, but it’s built like a serious turntable. It’s pretty obvious they were going after the looks of a Technics 1200, and they nailed it. I never realized it until I bought it, but it has an Audio-Technica cartridge, which alone usually costs fifteen to twenty dollars. It has belt drive and pitch control for plus and minus about 15% or so. Everything is totally manual, but I can’t imagine trying to make an automatic arm this size. It came with the cords I needed to both hook it in my portable speaker and home system and will connect with an Aux or RCA input jack. When you listen to these records through the built-in tiny speaker, you really don’t get much, and it does sound like a toy. When you hook it up to your home system or quality speaker, it shines. Literally, I’ve had people listen in amazement. It’s vinyl, and it sounds like vinyl. My only complaint is the motor should be quieter, as there is a tiny hum you can hear when turning it on. I don’t hear it through the amp or speaker, but it’s there. The turntable will surprise you to the upside if you connect it to a decent system. If you are looking for an audiophile experience, it’s not that. But it’s fun, cool, and not expensive. I have a release from Epitaph Records that has the Interrupters and Rancid, that really do sound amazing. I’ve heard the songs are limited to about three minutes, and they are all one-sided from what I can tell. I hope these stick-around awhile, as the discs are great to collect and have all come with a poster or some type of artwork by the artist. I keep my Mini next to my Technics unit at home and it’s fun to show off. I’d buy it again, and I’ll likely be giving a few of them for Christmas presents this year.

This Tiny Turntable Rocks!
Received the Mini turntable this holiday season after seeing them at various record stores just after Record Store Day. Could not be happier, as I’ve collected some releases from Sun, The Beastie Boys, Third Man and Disney. Turntable has a tiny speaker which doesn’t sound that great on its own, but it absolutely rocks when it’s hooked up to a larger speaker or system. I’ve hooked it up to a both a portable speaker and our home system, and it really does sound amazing. I like to keep it next to our larger turntable, and the size is funny when you see it in person for comparison. I didn’t realize it had pitch control until after I had received it. I read a previous review about it needing adjustment, and mine has been right around the “center” since I started using it but needed a “boost” when the batteries were low. I love it and will be getting a few more records soon.

Needs modification
The record will stop spinning when you put the needle on the record. The only way I got mine to work flawlessly is to put a thin piece of heat shrink tube on the middle where the record goes with the 45 adapter and use a heat gun to shrink the heat tube to shrink it to the metal. Then pry the 45 adapter onto the shrink tube, it will be a tight fit but it will go on. And after that the record will no longer stop after you set the needle onto the record.

Amazing little turntable 🤗
I’ve had my eyes on these since Record Store Day earlier this year, and I finally stepped up and bought my own. I’m glad I did, as it’s been great fun to play the three inch records, and I keep the turntable hooked up to a portable speaker. It comes with two different cords (aux and RCA) to connect to just about anything, and when you do, the sound is pretty amazing for such a tiny piece. Yes, it’s a novelty, but it’s also vinyl and it sounds like vinyl. I have the Sun and Thirdman releases currently and I hope many, many more are on the way. The turntable speaker isn’t very big and the sound isn’t great coming through the tiny built-in speaker. Hook it up to your home system or a bigger speaker, it really is amazing.

These DO NOT work.
I ended up with 3 of them and all three had the exact same issue. The tone arm does not have enough weight for them to actually function. As soon as the needle hits a record, they stall and won't play. All three units had the same defect, and all three were tried with the 5 different records I have, none of which would work. This is simply just an expensive bookend. Highly suggest not purchasing.
