Q: Is this game at all similar to Carcassonne?

It has some small commonalities with Carcassonne, you lay tiles (which are hexagons) to grow your suburb and depending on which tile you choose and where you place it different things can happen. Unlike Carcassonne you get to pick the tile from a market and pay different prices for different tiles, some are much better than others.Tiles give you some combination of income (turnkey), money (onetime), population growth (turnkey) or population (onetime). I've played a lot of Carcassonne and think that Suburbia is the better game, though it isn't as pretty. Q: The max number of players on the box is 4, is it possible to play this game with a larger group. Possibly with a couple people playing as a team?

Four is currently the max, though team play may be a viable option. Suburbia 5* is planned for later this year and will include tiles and gameplay for a 5th player.

Q: I had got the game. however，there are only 7 heavy factory tiles. it should be 8. how can i do？

Contact Bezier Games and fill out their replacement component form which you can find here: http://beziergames.com/pages/replacement-pieces . It specifies what to do if your game (assuming you purchased new) came missing a piece. (Also, there's a couple of different printings so check that your box says Bezier on the front, like the Amazon picture associated with your question).

Q: We have a limited playing area at the moment between small and medium table, so I was wondering how much space you need to play this game?

A card table is probably the best fit. Each game plays out differently and you can place a chosen tile in a few possible locations and the scene can fan out in multiple directions. You don't have the problem of a fold out board with lots of tokens or cards on the side. The playing pieces are small enough so there should be no getting out of hand.
