yes it comes with beater, it's pictured--it's that woolen white round knobby thing with the black circle and screw head in it at top of picture

Q: Does the 8500C come with a case and the nylon strap to replace the chain?

My pedal did not include either a case or extra strap.

Q: what's the difference between the FP 9500c model and the 8500c model?

The 9500C allows you to adjust the foot board angle and also allows a strap to be used

Q: Could I use this with my Pearl Cajon?

As long as you can clamp it to something. It’s a good bass drum pedal.
