NECA Godzilla - 12" Head to Tail "Modern Godzilla" Action Figure - Series 1

The Godzilla head to tail 12 inch figure is Neca's first attempt at the king of the monsters. Godzilla 2014 is a fantastic version of the king of monsters, but will the figure be as fantastic as it's movie counterpart? Let's take a look at the pros firstPROS:1. The detail is phenomenal. All the scales and texture makes it feel real in a strange aspect. The figure is accurate to its movie counterpart.2. The paint is impressive. For being almost black in the movie, the figure has blue washes that make the detail and figure pop.3. The Articulation is pretty impressive. It is almost identical to a Sh Monsterarts figure in a way. 24-26 points of articulation4. The sculpt is just fantastic. Movie accurate and just like the it's CGI counterpart( or movie)5. For what you get, the price is amazing($22.99) great deal6. This figure is meant for collectors, but it also can be compatible with kids 9 and upCONS:1. The scale is a little to be desired. It stands at about 6.2 inches tall. I and other collectors would've preferred it to be at 7.5 or 8 inches, but it isn't a big deal. The figure is in perfect scale with Sh Monsterarts figures. It doesn't scale to well with the Pacific rim figure however.2. This is a tiny nitpick, but I will point it out. The head is a big tiny, but only by a hair. It isn't too terrible of a deal.All in all, this is an outstanding and phenomenal Godzilla 2014 figure by Neca. It's size is pretty decent, not too bad.As you can tell, I'm loving this Godzilla 2014 figure, just as much as the movie. I highly recommend to a Godzilla collector. I received this critter on the promised delivery date. Freeing him from that clamshell package was really easy with the aid of a box cutter. This Godzilla is better looking in person. He's six inches high and measures about a foot from head to tail. The detail is amazing. They've captured every bump, every scale of the King of Monsters. His eyes are yellow slits. His back and tail spines are flexible rubber, but they're fairly long, jagged and uneven, just like the movie. This fella is fully articulated; his lower jaw moves a little, as does his head and neck, so he can look from side to side. He has three points of articulation in his arms: shoulders, elbows, wrists. Limited side to side motion in his waist, and three points of articulation in his legs (upper thigh, knee, and ankle). Starting from his butt he has four points of articulation down to the middle part of his tail. Godzilla's tail can also be turned sideways, both sides. The parts of the tail can be swiveled around 360 degrees.Attaching the tail was the most difficult part of assembling this critter. There's a ball joint that the tail attaches to, and it required a lot of pushing and twisting, but I finally got it attached.This figure was way nicer than I thought it would be. An absolute bargain for the price. Highly recommended for anyone who loves Godzilla.

I really like this figure. It looks super screen accurate, The only downside is the tail. My figure's tail was easier to put on. The Godzilla is 6 inches. I paid 50 bucks for it but it's worth it. Super cool.

I’m not gonna lie, this figure is incredibly amazing. The articulation is great and the details are insane. The product arrived 4 Days ahead of schedule. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 Stars it’s because the tail was really hard to connect with the body and I had to use the blow dryer method. After that I noticed the flexible part of the tip of the tail had the wire breaking out of it. Besides that, it’s a terrific figure.

This little treasure is a collector's dream. When I first took a glimps of this figure in it's packaging, it didn't have much of an effect on me. But after I opened and took him out of the package, that was when the magic began. I first noticed how solid and heavy he felt, especially for a figure of that small scale. I then noticed all of the awesome detail that this figure had possessed and how his dorsal spines were thin and firm but flexible. After I began to articulate and move his joints around, that was when I was sold. It looks good enough to display as a statue and it's quality is durable enough for great playability. This is an all around home run from Neca. I hope that they will also release Muto figures so that I could relive the whole movie experience with my figures. Awesome Job Neca!!!

This is a great figure. I have both the NECA and sh monsterarts version of the Legendary Godzilla. First I must say I am really not a big fan of other NECA godzillas but this one is really something. It is just about the same size as the monsterarts. It has a few less articulation points particularly in the tail then the shma, and the design is slightly different. I am not a big fan of wire parts like the last half of the tail in this figure. That's my only knock on it. Otherwise this is a steal in the $20-30 range. The pictures of this figure do not do it justice. This figure is very detailed. The color is great. If you are a Godzilla fan, especially if you are a fan of the new movie, get this figure. You will be happy. Although not really for little kids, its spines are rubber not hard plastic like shma. So if buying for a younger crowd, this is the one to get.

This product is very detailed although you shouldn’t have to put fire to the tail, use an hair dryer, and drill the tail to get it on! I am having to super glue the tail on. I love Godzilla and all but even when I first got the item and I was trying to push the tail on the hand fell of! I’m gonna super glue that on next. DO NOT BUY YOU WILL HAVE TO PUT FIRE TO THE TAIL, HAIR DRY IT, DRILL IT, AND THEN GLUE THE TAIL ON. Make the tail easier to put on seriously. Not only that the spines are a little sharp as I was trying to push the tail on it poked me it didn’t make me bleed or anything but it did hurt.
