What size are the four lifts?

2 of them are 6in ea and then 3 smaller ones are 2in ea.

If I put a long lift only on the hinge edge of the laptop, but not on the front edge, would it create too much slope to type effectively?

These are not tall enough in my opinion to cause an effect on typing if you only put them on the hinge edge. In fact it might actually improve your hand position for typing with the slight incline from only putting them in the rear of the laptop.

Will this work with the dell xps 7390 2in1?

It appears as though that machine folds completely flat on itself so I’m afraid Laptop Lifts would not be a good choice: you would not be able to fold the machine flat and there would be pressure on the hinges.

Will this work for a Lenovo Yoga laptop when in tablet mode?

I think they would interfere with the 360° hinge function. Laptop Lifts are about the size of a pencil so if a pencil wouldn't fit the laptop Lifts probably wouldn't either.
