Retains heat remarkably well
Finally - a dish especially suited to pasta that retains heat from start to finish when dining. (Dish pre-heated in oven at 150-200F is ideal).Visual appearance of dish is excellent, especially when under-plating with a white dish (such as Corian).Price for four dishes is appreciable, but the plates accomplish the underlying intent - retaining heat. No other dish, insulating matt, tile piece, or combination of, tried previously could accomplish the retain-heat objective without becoming far too complicated and clumsy.Value, as value always is, it is a two-edge sword. Often, but not always, "you get what you pay for!" These are worth it. They should last forever.Physical weight might be considered a negative aspect. Stacked in a kitchen cabinet the weight is substantial and requires a firm grip to remove one plate at a time... ill-advised for someone with weak hands or arthritic fingers. Cerise color as ordered elegantly presents the pasta within.

Real deal
Had to buy some replacement plates as our old ones (got directly from le creuset) got chipped. These are real, match our old ones perfectly, and their serial numbers show that they are not fakes.

My husband and I have been learning to cook Italian pasta dishes, and have searched everywhere for bowls that actually do retain heat. We've tried many, but these work! Heat in a plate warmer or the oven (they are resistant for almost everything) and they stay warm to hot through a leisurely meal. Glad I found them- highly recommended.

Beautiful and practical
Beautiful bowls. A good weight to them. They can function as a plate or a shallow dish. The size is good especially if you are trying portion control. The color is also beautiful deep dark red with a hit of ombré.Worth the money.
