Work well
Always collect a bunch of beetles when I put these out. Would purchase again if I see them in the garden again.

Works
I like the idea of a non harmful chemical that works used in this product. The other safe alternative is to apply milky spore throughout your yard. Milky spore is expensive, and hard to apply correctly. It is however the best possible solution, because it not only completely eliminates Japanese beetle, but also is carried by birds to widened the application area. The extra expense is more than I can bare.

The plastic bags are crap.
Started getting Japanese Beetles in 2016. Bought this trap about half way through the beetle season. Restocked the bags and scent in 2017 and have had them out the full beetle seasons.1) The bags are pure crap. I learned in 2016 they split at the seams and replaced bags rather frequently. In 2017, I started repairing holes with duct tape. (Also repaired the seams, as they failed, with duct tape.) This season, after splitting the new bag just putting it on the yellow holder, I duct taped all the seams from the start of the season. This morning, the bags were mostly empty because the bugs "ate" through the plastic seam on the bottom and then crawled out between the bag and the duct tape "glued" sticky side. It is NOT to much to ask a company selling these traps to spend another nickel per bag to use a plastic that is strong enough not to fail at the seams and also thick enough that those Japanese Beetles can't get through them. For me, it is time to look for alternatives for next year. (It would sure be nice if something inside the bags could kill the beetles once they are inside.)2) Most comments about the traps' locations say to have them away from the plants the beetles are attacking. I tried that. That didn't work as the traps were ignored and the beetles went straight for the beans, peach tree, and the roses. So, the traps were placed next to the beans and under the peach tree. It is common to get a quart of beetles per day with 2 traps. The roses are protected with something that can't be sprayed on food plants.

Japanese beetle's worst enemy?
Its that time of year again, this product is very good at killing off a large percentage of the dreaded Japanese beetles.
