Pretty much what I expected
First off I don’t know why people keep saying they’re getting a whistle noise. My take it’s the installer as I have no issue. Had absolutely no issues with install either didn’t even use instructions as it’s a pretty easy to figure out the process by looking at the part. (I have the electric throttle body) Don’t know about any mileage gain as I really don’t care knowing that the sled is heavy and my driving habits don’t promote fuel economy. What I was looking for I did see increased throttle response and lower end power-acceleration. Not huge gains but an improvement that is ok considering the cost. If you actually think a part at the cost of this one will promote huge gains maybe move on as you’ll be disappointed. It a tweek part nothing more nothing less.

Fits and looks great
For great on my 5.3 I noticed a little whistle but acceleration is increased and engine sounds different 10/10 for the price

Not a bad inexpensive tweak
Some of the reviews I saw said they heard a whistling noise, definitely nothing like that on mine. Installation took about an hour. I did have to shave down my air intake tube some so the fan doesn’t hit it (I have an aftermarket K&N intake, but the instructions even state that it is normal for the fan to hit the stock air tube as well), my suggestion would be to heat up the air tube to where you can form the tube, but if the air tube is thick enough and you feel confident enough, a little patience and a grinder go a long way too.Luckily my truck has the 4.8L so I did not have to worry about the water neck.On little tip, since you have the throttle body off, take a few moments to clean it, as well as the mating surface where the spacer go against the intake.Overall I was happy with the kit.

Adds MPG
Fairly easy to install and added 1 mpg on my daily. One caveat is that it hits the water neck on the water pump. Was still able to install but was a pain to work around. Other water necks may be clocked differently and not have this issue.
