Quit working after 4 months
This is a highly recommended and expensive lighter. It worked great for a couple of months. Then it would only flame for 1-2 seconds. Unfortunately, it is 1-2 months past the return date. I tried every troubleshooting tip I could find. When I bleed the butane, let it sit for a while, refill it with quality butane, put it in my pocket for 15 minutes to warm up, it works for 2 or 3 times then quits working again. I would not mind that much if it did not cost so much. Never again. FOLLOW UP: Xitar honored their warranty and sent me a new lighter that works great!

Garbage for the price

Very high quality
This is my every day carry and go to so it’s used a lot. Hands down the most reliable pocket torch ive ever owned. Very pocket friendly as it’s a small unit but feels substantial in the hand. I’ll buy more when needed for sure.

This is FIRE
The media could not be loaded. Really happy with my purchase! Premium feel in hand as it has some heft to it compared to other lighters. I love the matte black finish on it, plus it adds the cherry on top to my cigar setup.Xikar has always been regarded as one of the best in the business and there is a reason for that.FYI, this does NOT come with butane in it nor with it so you will need to buy some in addition.Hope this helps someone out.

Yup
Second purchase! And there will be a third.Solid construction! Replaced lighter, which is the same brand and type, was bare metal from use. Used well past what I thought was going to be its lifespan. It just kept working in the worst of conditions, dropped, thrown, lost, found. Buy It you will not regret it.

Functionally good, terrible paint finish.
Purchased in July, so this is an assessment of the lighter after 4’ish months of use.As a lighter, this Xikar torch functions well. It does its job. Holds a good amount of butane, fires up on the first try every time, and stays lit in most conditions, even in some light wind.I cannot say the same for the paint and finish. The black finish has started flaking off the back, at the edges, and rubbing off the face of the finger switch.Hands have always been clean when using/operating. No lotions or oils present during use.The wear showing on the finish is surprising, as I have another $20 butane torch where the paint finish still looks new after 3 years of heavy and careless usage . This is all the more concerning considering the only place this Xikar lighter goes is in my pocket when carrying it from the wood box storage location to the backyard, where it rests on a teak wood patio table until it goes in my pocket for the trip back to its wood storage container. The only other item in the wood storage box is a companion Xikar cigar cutter, which has a plastic composite frame. It’s surprising to see the paint finish coming off and wearing from just 4 months of what I would consider light use, in far from harsh conditions. At this price point I expected to be able to travel with this torch and treat it with less “white glove” care.Get it for the functionally but be prepared for the bare metal and flaked paint look. Not the torch you’d want to pull out and hand to company when entertaining.

Best of All the Ones I've Bought
Second model I've bought in ten years. All the others failed.

Doesnt like to light, runs out of fuel quick
This is the worst cigar torch ive ever used. I don’t even carry it any more. The $8 vertigo’s blow this thing out of the water. Fuel does not last long, the thing struggles to light, and struggles to stay lit. I followed the procedures to purge the air out. Still no help. I’ll never purchase anything xikar again.
