Fitbit Zip Wireless Activity Tracker, Magenta

The product has been constantly ridiculed for its battery. The stock battery dies after 5-6 months of usage. I would recommend to buy the replacement battery from the airport or some trusted shop.I bought batteries twice from local stores and not once was able to get it to work. Thought its a complete waste of money till i gave it another try.Now it is working as expected (got batteries from a store in Dubai). Also, please ignore the calorie count as they are counted based on a simple algorithm and are not tracked. However, step count accuracy is by far among the best in the industry.If you are a beginner who is interested in knowing how active you are during the day, it is a sure shot buy!

This worked well initially with the battery that came with the product. The battery was suppose to last for 6 months, but within 4 months I had to change. When I bought a new battery and put it as per their specifications, within a week it started draining and battery got exhausted. Thinking, there is something wrong with the battery, I have bought from a different place and put. That didn't last even few days. When I went to the Internet checking for reviews of this product, everyone is blasting it for it's poor battery behaviour. Fitbit has no way to give feedback and it appears inspite of so many people banging on this product for several years, they have not bothered to either respond on how to overcome or fix it. Overall, I am very disappointed with this product and strongly recommend not to buy it.

its worth every penny... a simple no nonsense gadget for measuring steps... pretty accurate... i love the app.. it keeps me accountable in terms of walking... it has various challenges which keeps me motivated... synced with myfitnesspal. starting to loose weight with regular excercise and diet regulation.i would like to put in word about the amazing customer care service of fitbit. after about three months of usage, the clip was broken. as my fitbit was in warranty period i tweeted them about the situation. they got back to me within an hour. sent me a replacement clip promptly with no extra charges from US. i was amazed with their commitment to customer satisfaction. They have won a customer for life

Easy to wear... Tracks steps....but also if u cheat and move it up and down...it will calculate steps taken.Whilst travelling kept in bag and it went bersek and calculated way too much !Otherwise for daily wear ..walking...on treadmill...works pretty accurately.More perfect would have been the HR type fitbit but if buying economicaly then this is the best.Overall happy with it....

This thing does one thing very well. It counts steps very accurately. So it is one of the best pedometers out there. Its ability to accurately track calories burnt is a joke. I don't care about much of the other bells and whistles attached with the activity tracking software it is tied with (web based, app, based etc.). So if you want a very high quality pedometer then go for this, it tracks your steps extremely well.

Works as described. It is just a hobby gadget for me to track my activity with no specific goals. But lazy days become active as Zip shows a smaller number. Should be useful with regular use. Their website has nice charts, etc.It took me a while to realize that it in addition to activity based calories, it also assumes calories used up by the body to stay alive.

I've been using the fitbit zip for a few months now and it has been a daily part of my routine. I get motivated if i don't reach my step goal and go out for a run or walk. The fitbit app is a great accompaniment to the fitbit zip. I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking to stay in shape!
