Q: If I have 4 lamps and only want 1 person at that time knowing im thinking of them, is it possible to send it to just them or will all 4 lamps light up

You can set each one up with a different code So only that 1 will go off, I have asked the seller a lot of questions by email and they have always gotten right back to me with answers... I myself only have one other lamp set up with mine but I have to link an account and password with it but if you link up other ones with different passwords then only that 1 will go off

Q: How far do they work?

The Friendship Lamps can connect to each other from anywhere in the world, provided they can connect to Wi-Fi! They use the Wi-Fi connection to interact, so as long as you have that you should be good to go! -Diana at Filimin

Hi there, If you tap your lamp twice it will reset the timer on how long the lamp lights up. It won't reset the timer. You are correct that the minimum time that friendship lamps light up is 30 minutes, however they can also be set up to stay lit for 1 1/2 hours, 4 hours, 8 hours, and 24 hours. When our lamps are initially programmed and when they leave the warehouse they are set to stay lit for 1 1/2 hours and once you get them set up and registered you can change the time to what suits you better. Q: Considering this for student living in college dorm that works on wifi, so there is no router in the dorm room. This will not work then, right?

The Friendship Lamp can connect to Wi-Fi without the use of a router if needed, however we've experienced some difficulty in the past with captive portals, which most University Wi-Fi's tend to use.
