Q: Does this have a reliable laxative affect?

I don't take it as a laxative, but when the doctor recommended it and I asked what dosage, she said if I take too much it has a laxative effect so stop 1 dose short of that and that's what I do. I take it because she said as we age our muscles tighten and that's why she wants me to take it. So it does.

Q: Are these pill small or large?

These pills are medium in size. For me I have no problems swallowing these pills.

Q: Does this product contain arsenic?

I've never come across any information linking arsenic to pharmaceutical-grade magnesium. Obviously, arsenic would not be an ingredient listed on the label, but could only be present if it was a byproduct of processing and, to my knowledge, does not occur (the arsenic has to be present somewhere to begin with; I don't believe arsenic chemically bonds with the compounds contained or can successfully displace an atom of the citrate molecule). Plant-derived compounds which are isolated for supplement use carry the possibility of containing arsenic, dependent upon the level of arsenic pollution of the soils in which they are grown. Magnesium citrate is a readily absorbed form of magnesium when vitamin D levels are optimal and taken with meals.

Q: I have been taking this for a year or more this patch smells like mildew why?

Bad Product

I opened the seal of the bottle and powder came out.Some capsules were empty and contained no powder. Capsule seal was not proper. Overall a badly manufactured product.
