It is probably strong enough to inflate an air bed as well. The machine is mainly plastic and the hose is not very long, but it comes with a few connectors that let you inflate balloons or inflateable items. Don't expect it to inflate a tire, but it will inflate most household items rather quickly. I once tried to inflate my plastic chair with a tire inflater, and only did it take forever because the attachments did not fit the hole, but may have damaged the tire inflater. So best not to use tire inflaters for house items such as air beds or chairs.
