Review: Stop the echoing! - So you could definitely notice a difference in our kitchen. We had problems with it echoing because of the high ceilings. You know those restaurants you walk into that are so contemporary that they have nothing to absorb the sound and when it's busy you can't hear anybody but yourself talk. Well that was our kitchen. Adding these helped absorb some noise and greatly reduced the echoing! I would definitely recommend them. We had to cut two down to fit where we wanted them to fit. My dad did this for me. He is used to stretching canvas over wood and this was just some fabric that he refolded over the wood and stapled back on after you cut the wood frame and filling down. I know it seems like a waste but they didn't fit otherwise. They are aesthetically pleasing as well. Installing is a little difficult because you have to be precise. But you do your measurements and mark it and you should be good to go. A couple we didn't even have to hang we just set up on top of the cabinets near the ceiling. Now we don't get so overwhelmed by the echoing in our kitchen anymore. We are a family of six that talk a lot. It has made the room feel a lot warmer and not so tinny.

This is my second set to order. I noticed yesterday that this second set didn’t come with hanging hardware, so I immediately used the “contact seller” function here on desertcart to let them know. Today, less than 12 hours later, I got a voicemail from the company letting me know that they had received my message via desertcart, and were rush-shipping a hardware set to me. Mistakes happen — we’re all human — but it’s delightful when someone makes this kind of effort to correct a mistake. Thank you!

**Q: How are these best mounted to a wall?**

Our acoustic panels are mounted using our z-clip mounting hardware. Each panel will come with the hardware included.

A: Yes, we can make these panels in all charcoal or black for you. Please contact me when you have a free moment.

**Q: Would these work for a bedroom with concrete walls between neighbors.I can hear them through my wall**
A: That’s conducted sound, not reflected sound. The fraction of the wall area covered will be (much) less efficient launching the conducted sound, but if you only cover 1/2 of the wall area the sound reduction will be unimpressive. A sound absorbing apartment wall has 2 sets of studs, a stud only touches one of the wall faces, not both. The cavity is filled with fiberglass to absorb sound. The wall faces often use 2 layers of 1/2” gypsum wall board instead of one, 3/4” and 1” wall board are also made for this purpose and cheaper to install than 2 layers with staggered seams. To block the sound coming though a concrete block or cast concrete wall, there’s already lots of mass, a single layer face is good. A single sided faux wall 2 x 3 studs on 16” centers standing 1/4” gap from the concrete wall, fill the cavities with fiberglass, face can be as thin as 3/8”

**Q: Room is 21 x 25 feet w/ 20' peaked ceiling. walls are 9"tall.  how many of what size, all white panels, how far apart do i need?**
A: Good Morning, 

Based on the size of this space, I recommend installing 160 sq feet of acoustic paneling. If you were to choose our staggered wall pack, you would need (5) packages. However, the size of the panels is not crucial. The most important factor is getting the 160 Sq Feet installed in the space. Additionally, the exact positioning is not crucial. I recommend spreading the panels out as much as possible to achieve the best result.

I am very satisfied with this product. The value for the money is excellent. I saw these on a video on Nathan Larsen's channel and they were recommended to him by the producer Forest Whitehead. It is hard to find sound panels that aren't crazy expensive so I was going to try making my own, but decided to take a chance on these to save me time and the headache of buying/cutting/making/etc. They are well made and the acoustic material is closed up well so they are safe. I hung these in my studio and immediately noticed a huge difference. All of the ringing is gone in my little studio room and it sounds great.
