Review: Easy replacement for one that stopped working. Pairing & activating was a breeze. Review: I bought a Viper 5701 alarm a year or so ago and needed to replace the 2-way remote. The one included with the alarm was the older two-tone silver and black style (pn 7251). This is a huge improvement from the original, fixing my two biggest problems. It works flawlessly as a replacement to the original 2-way responder and I had no problems programming it. The first thing they did to improve the design was do away with the easily broken and ineffective backplate / battery door design which didn't actually keep the battery in place. On this one, the whole shell snaps together securely. Admittedly, the design makes it slightly more difficult to change batteries, however I would say that's an improvement over the previous design. The second issue they fixed was making the buttons a little more difficult to press, so you no longer accidentally hit the lock button getting the keys out of your pocked. Best yet, I can press only the unlock button even with gloves on, so in the winter I no longer hear the annoying screeching warning noise from slightly pressing the unlock button when I'm trying to lock. The button press has a nice firm click action that feels much better. What keeps the battery cover tab from breaking like the stock remote? Can you add a picture of the back of the remote?** A: The remote will replace you 7251V stock remote because I had the same one and in to of that the buttons are stiffer and the back isn't made the same; it's actually snapped together on the front and refuses to be removed mistakenly....haven't had an accidental start up or any broken parts yet. It also took the rain season here in Miami great. **Q: Will this work with the 5701** A: Yes. The 5701 is the exact model I had. This replacement remote is better in durability due to quality and the battery lasts much longer. Not alot longer, but by at least 2 months, maybe 3. **Q: Can this replace the Viper 7153V remote?** A: Yes, it can be used as a replacement **Q: Does it work with 2010 Hyundai sonata ?** A: The remote functions with appropriate Viper alarm systems. Make/model of a car is irrelevant in regards to the remote itself. As another respondent stated, contact Viper for specific information regarding usage with a Hyundai.
