What you want to do is set up "USB tethering" on your cell phone (not every phone plan and phone model supports this, but I believe most Android phones can and probably iPhones), and configure the router with the settings you'll find on the OpenWRT wiki in the article called USB Tethering (google it, amazon doesn't like URLs).
