The panel is very light and thin, not even 1/4" thick, and has multiple brightness settings. The brightest setting is very bright, but doesn't strain the eye (in my case, at least). The black borders are seemingly UV-printed on. They might not be perfectly-aligned, but it's not egregious. Again, price point. It has small rubber feet on the bottom side to keep it from sliding. This is nice if you draw on a raised or slanted work surface. If you tend to lean hard onto your work, maybe add two more rubber feet in the center so as not to bow the work surface (acrylic is flexible, unlike glass).
