Each gel pack is 9.5” x 4.25”. **Q: Will this work for icing both the back and right side of my left knee simultaneously?** A: Yes you can use this it basically will wrap ice around the entire knee. I have this one because it runs a little bit small and I use it right below the knee around the calf. I use a different one to go around my knee because my knee is a little bit larger due to multiple surgeries and what I'm trying to recover from. so this one runs a little bit on the smaller side it's probably more designed for a woman but a small to average size man could use it very effectively as well. I've used it on my knee in the pinch but I prefer the one that's a little bit larger. **Q: Says it fits up to 21" knee circumference. Would this fit me if Just above my knee, I guess would be considered lower portion of my thigh is 21"?** A: All I can say is that above my knee is just under 20", fits fine. I have now had both knees fully replaced. My first recovery was good, and I diligently rotated ice treatments as directed, using reusable ice bags from the hospital and typicalgel packs wrapped in towels as we did for our kids’ sports injuries. After my 2nd full knee replacement my orthopedic surgeon emphasized being especially diligent about rotating ice to reduce swelling and promote healing, and suggested looking for a wraparound because behind the knee tissue is important, too. This knee wrap is OUTSTANDING! I have also purchased a gel replacement pack (comes with 3 packs) so I do 15 minutes on/off many times during the day and don’t have long stretches without icing. I am 3 weeks out from surgery and healing is going GREAT! My mobility is ahead of the norm, pain and swelling reduced, my doc was thrilled! I got the black with turquoise trim, which looks quite snazzy - my PT doc was super impressed and took down the info intending to purchase several for herself and her practice.
