I use a few sheet metal screws as needed to hold the panel in place until the epoxy cures. A small amount of adheasive should ooz out along the seam edges ensuring that you have used an adequate amount. Then I grind the heads off and roughened the surface around the seam then apply a good quality waterproof short stran filler. Shape, sand and finish as needed. Been using this product for years now. Had a small quarter panel patch repair to do on a 1995 Toyota. This was just the right amount to do the job.
