Try and pour a lubricant solution (e.g. WD-40) onto the claw grabber to see if it will help slide the tool out easily. 3. If possible, help loosen the grip of the claw grabber by pumping a plunger into the drain opening. Just make sure the plunger covers the drain fully to ensure a good suction. 4. Grab a coat hanger and straighten it out, then create a small hook at the end. Gently insert it into the drain to try and lift the tool and pull it out. It is solid and the magnet is really strong. I use it mainly to hold a bunch of 3mm small screws and nuts while assembling 3D printed parts. They are stainless steel but are still slightly magnetic, but you need a strong magnet to hold them.
