The stock chain was a beast. I unfortunately hit barb wire in the Center core of a tree. I'll let you know how she goes. Based on my research Oregon is a must have and the D70 full pitch is the smoothest fastest cutting saw. 60cc CS590 can handle the full pitch AGRESSIVE chains **Q: will this saw run on ethanol blended gas?** A: I personally never use gas with ethanol in any of the small engines. Ethanol being an alcohol attracts water and the gas rottens much quicker that ethanol free gas especially if you do not use the small engine for extended periods of time. However 10% ethanol gas it will work fine, just make sure you add fuel stabilizer at all times. This is a great chain saw for sure, I highly recommend it. **Q: Would this run ok with an 18" bar?** A: Yes, if the bar's bolt pattern, oil hole and general shape are designed to work on the Echo CS-590 saw.
