Can be a bit perplexing at first trying to get the hat and keep the hat positioned in place on the ironing base (almost need 3 hands). Heats up fast, beeps when turned on and after heating up to desired temperature. It's light-weight and small enough for easy storing. Pressure is needed when applying iron on decal. This machine is well worth the money and is durable. Works as it should and the instructions are easy to follow.
