A The opening is wide enough to accommodate large sized cubes anyway so i really don't see a need. We put in a handful of ice maker crescent shaped cubes and it last all day. **Q: Does it keep liquid warm?** A: I’m not sure we’ve only used them for cold liquids. But work great for cold milk and iced water. **Q: Is there a way to buy extra straws for this? Somehow I lost the straw when I detached it to clean it** A: Yep!
