Paper thin once you compress it. I had a dent in my bed from where I sat up to watch tv .. lol aka Mrs Bates dent ... it killed me made me sleep weird ... the topper however helped so much ... but if you Want something to “fix” a dented or worn mattress nothing really will ..it has THE BEST support and soft ! My 135lb mastiff sleeps on it with me ... I never feel her move ... and it doesn’t lose its shape ... it comes back to life as soon as you move ... the cover can be washed ... it expanded fast ... I love it ... finally bought a new bed ... so I’m getting a new one ... I don’t need it just want everything all new ... also 10 year warranty!!! Not many I looked have this at all !
