I have one from a big name fabric store that I love and from what I’ve seen I am impressed with the price and sturdiness of this product. I have read other reviews saying it is hard to open and yes it is. I’m including a video that will show you two easy ways to open the box. Both options involve the straight little plastic piece below the latch. Option 1: Apply upwards pressure to the straight little plastic piece with your thumb as you use your index finger to flip the latch back. Option 2: Apply upwards pressure to the straight little plastic piece as you firmly press the lid of the case down. The latch should open on its own. I am curious how the plastic lid will hold up over time if you keep using option 2 to open the case. If I encounter any issues I’ll update my review. I know because they wait to be sure I see him before he knocks it down.Not once did it come open.The case is clear enough to see what colors you have wound — sometimes (this happened to me and I can't believe only me) finding a treasure you forgot you had. When deciding to purchase this, I read reviews and thought it odd that people experienced this, until I did...immediately. Now having no closer piece makes the nice case pretty useless.
