## Description

Product Description Now there is a family of smart processors that can provide extra performance when you need it, and increased energy efficiency when you don’t. Intel Core i7-875K Unlocked Processor, 2.93 GHz with 8 MB L3 shared cache. Features Overclocking Enabled, which allows full control over the processor core/turbo and DDR ratios for the best possible overclocking results. These unlocked processors are compatible with boards based on P55, H57 and H55 chipsets. Intel Turbo Boost Technology which accelerates your performance to match your workload. Intel Hyper-Threading Technology (Quad-core with eight-way multi-task processing). Included in box: processor, manual and chassis sticker. Three-year Limited Warranty. Intel Turbo Boost Technology automatically speeds up your processor when you need it. So even if you’re running multiple applications at the same time, turbo boost taps any unused power to give you an extra boost of speed. Like a modern sports car, where the car can deliver power and traction to the wheels where they’re needed, Intel Turbo Boost Technology automatically speeds up the processor when the PC needs extra performance. Intel Hyper-Threading Technology lets your processor do many things at the same time, similar to a toaster that has two slots instead of one, or four slots instead of two. The result is that you can do a lot more in less time. desertcart.com For enthusiasts and gamers looking for the ultimate in customization and performance, the Intel Core i7-875K Processor is the breakthrough they've been waiting for. The Core i7-875K Processor is an unlocked processor, meaning it's easy to "overclock" the chip and push it further for better performance. Combined with Intel Turbo Boost and Hyper-Threading Technology, you'll be able to maximize performance to match your workload.Break Through Previously Locked Performance LimitsThe new Intel Core i7-875K Processor has an unlocked multiplier, which allows you to easily increase the core and memory frequencies beyond the original specifications. If you hit a power wall, you also have the ability to increase the current and wattage limits of the processor to have access to more power. When combined with a robust motherboard, good cooling, and high-performance DDR3 memory based on Intel Extreme Memory Profiles (Intel XMP), you have the most flexibility for overclocking available. Intel recommends the following motherboards for the Intel Core i7-875K Processor: Intel DP55KG, DP55SB, DP55WG, DH57DD. These boards fully support the Core i7-875K's flexible overclocking capabilities allowing for maximum performance.Gaming to the MaxThe Core i7-875K enables an incredible experience for all kinds of games. For hard-core gamers who enjoy overclocking their system, the Core i7-875K is their best bet. With the ability to spread artificial intelligence (AI), physics, and rendering across multiple threads, you'll be able to concentrate on the game and be completely immersed in smooth-playing, detailed worlds.Powerful Performance with New MicroarchitectureThe Core i7-875K combines the power of four computing cores into a single processor. Even without overclocking, the cores run at 2.93 GHz, guaranteeing enough processing power for demanding applications. And 8 MB of Smart Cache ensures that you get maximum responsiveness from your system, even when several intensive programs run simultaneously. The Socket 1156-based processor is compatible with motherboards based on the Intel P55 Express Chipset.Intel introduced a new style of computer architecture with the Core i7-875K. They replaced the front-side bus--a longtime staple of processor design--with a new interconnect technology called Direct Media Interface (DMI). Using DMI, the Core i7-875K achieves superior levels of bandwidth, and can use its four computing cores to their maximum potential.Simply put, users enjoy faster and more streamlined processing than ever before. Your computer can handle multiple projects and applications without the slowdown you'd experience with a lesser processor. Extremely intensive programs like HD media editors run more smoothly and responsively. And, next-generation games can be experienced without frame rate hiccups and slowdown.New Technologies Boost PerformanceThe Intel Core i7-875K processor also makes use of several other cutting-edge technologies:Turbo Boost Technology allows the processor to run at up to 3.6 GHz when needed.Hyper-Threading Technology enables more efficient use of processor resources, making the most of highly threaded software like media players and next-generation games.Smart Cache Memory increases available RAM resources, leading to less lag while multi-tasking.Media Editing and Sharing Easier than EverWhether editing high-definition videos, touching up family photos, or splicing up music, the Core i7-875K provides the processing power needed. Its four cores are optimized to keep up with the most advanced digital editing software. It also accelerates DVD encoding and compression, allowing you to easily share your HD home videos with everyone.Unparalleled Gaming PerformanceWith the advent of next-generation games, PC gaming is more immersive than ever. The latest games are taking advantage of multi-threaded programming, allowing for more realistic graphics, physics, and AI. However, to fully experience all these effects, you need more than just a good graphics card with high GPU output. Underlying the visual realism and advanced AI scripts are thousands of high-speed calculations that your CPU must process.Fortunately, the Core i7-875K is specifically designed to handle these calculations. Using multi-thread architecture, it has the ability to process thousands of graphical characteristics at once, resulting in a smooth and lag-free experience. The Intel Core i7-875K processor is backed by a three-year limited warranty.

Review: Great Processor - I bought the i7-875 processor to build my first custom system. I like to keep desktops for 7-8 years so I wanted a high end processor. I purchased an ASUS P7P55d-E Pro motherboard for this processor even though I have no overclocking experience. Installed the processor with the basic 2.93ghz performance. Easily overclocked it using an air cooler to 3.91ghz just for fun. Don't forget to purchase a cooler for this chip or since it does not come with one. I'm running the processor everyday at 3.45ghz with no issues core temp around 51C when it's running full bore and 38C for most jobs. Jobs which took 11 minutues in the past to load not load in 2 minutes. Previous processor P4 3.2ghz. I bought Crysis just to stress the processor and graphics and the game runs smoothly with no hesitation. I highly recommend this processor to anyone wanting high end performance at a budget price. It's more expensive than a AMD 6 core and has better performance. Since it has fewer cores it actually performs all of my task faster (more power than the AMD overall and more power per core). The seller shipped the item quickly and it arrived on time in about 4 days. I give the seller and the processor 5 stars. I'm one happy customer!!!!
Review: Very Fast - I have owned this for a month now. Very fast chip. Running it 24/7 at 4Ghz (133x30) on EVGA P55 FTW 200. I still don't know what the safe max CPU VTT is for this Lynnfield chip. I have seen some documentation that says 1.21v is the max and I have also seen some that says 1.4v is the max. Again I am talking about Max CPU VTT and NOT the max CPU core voltage, which many of you are probably thinking of. I have had it to 4.13 Ghz, but benches were the same as 4Ghz. 4Ghz idles at 27C and loads at 67C with a few hours of Prime 95. 8 hours of Crysis and BFB2 only loads it to about 50C Max. Hopefully the max safe VTT is indeed the 1.4v, Once I find out for sure I'll take this puppy to 4.3 to 4.5, Until I know for sure I am using 1.15v VTT with the 4Ghz with fully loaded 1.27v VCore Some enthusiasts might buy the 860 for a little less money, but I think the higher base clock and the unlocked multi's of this chip are MORE than worth a few extra dollars over the 860.

I bought as an upgrade for the i3 chip I'm using now & when I put it in the computer wouldn't boot. Still waiting for an RMA.
