**Q: Can the battery pack be inserted inside a spud gun and resist the instant heat created?**
A: The battery pack will not hold up to that just put the ends in it

**Q: How long are the leads?**
A: I don't have it here at my house but from what I remember, they are about 15-18 inches.

**Q: Are the steel prongs designed to be over the gas holes? Will the flame melt these from the direct heat?**
A: You can't melt steel of any kind at the temperature produced by a stove, barbeque,water heater,etc. If this doesn't answer your question contact the manufacturer.

**Q: What is the height of the spark over the mounting bracket?**
A: The spark goes between he end of the prongs
