It is very smooth on the skin side. Should be comfortable to wear for long periods of time.Enough adjustment space on the straps to fit any size person.The hook that holds the tripod screw is good quality, but I would have preferred something more substantial.The weakest part, in my opinion, is the tripod screw adapter itself. I am going to rig a tether so the tripod screw adapter is secured to the strap or the ring with the hook or both.
