Just fine medium or coarse depending on your brew method. This grinder has excellant control over how coarse a grind you will get. You can buy the same beans from your roaster and not really get the same bean. I like Ethiopian beans, but one order may have come from a different plantaion or the next may have been roasted under different weather conditions. The control over the grind lets you correct your coffee. Not smooth enough, go a little coarser. Not getting enough boldness, try finer. You will find that one roast of beans works best with a grind setting of 20, the next from the same geographic region and roaster may need a 17 setting. Not to mention a morning where you just need a something different and want to go for a large setting change. This little grinder works well for these kind of grind changes. No problems 5 months in. *by M***D on August 14, 2026* I’ve had this now for 5 months. It works great. I grind beans every two days, so it has had plenty of use now. No problems with the handle, jar, or anything else. I use reusable k-cups. This grinder produces enough grinds for just over 2 cups of coffee. Mi e is set to 7, which is a bit fine for the reusable k-cups, but it works for me.
