Can I use dynamic & condenser mics together without causing damage?** A: Lets correct a few things. NO dynamic mics need Phantom power. And yes the power will reach the dynamic mics and generally that is OK. Also condensers that don't have batteries NEED phantom power. B123 managed a post with some serious misinformation. It is best not to send phantom to a dynamic because if the phantom is unbalanced a bit (broken cable, dirty pins etc.) you move the diaphragm of the capsule. So I wouldn't worry about it because the chance of actually doing damage is very small. The info on Ribbon mics is important to remember because Phantom will damage classic ribbon mics.
