I have a cheap Pyle HiFi 300w bookshelf speaker system that went bad within 10 uses, the internal amplifier wasn't repairable. I removed the old amp, ran wires directly to the speakers, and then connected them to this amplifier. What a difference, they sound so much better than factory. Don't expect bone rattling bass, but the bass is very decent for what it is, it might sound even better on higher quality speakers.
