I've had a number of items from Tecknet over the last few years and they have always been of consistently decent quality and this is no exception. I only really wanted a mouse which could be used wired to access the Motherboard Bios in my new PC but I decided that having one which could be used wireless as well if desired was potentially handy. In wireless mode you have a switch on the bottom to turn it either off; On with RGB LED lighting; or On with no lights. The suggested web site is not the easiest to navigate to locate the driver but you WILL need it if you wish to change the DPI setting, button configuration and LED lighting colours/modes. The mouse is very light to hold. Feels about the same in terms of weight and size as a Logitech one M100 / B100 I have. There is a bit of finger/thumb travel to operate each of the somewhat clicky buttons, including the two on the left side, but this makes them very precise. The build quality feels good. I have no complaints in this respect. Accuracy of the mouse is very good and I noticed no appreciable lag in use. I would say this is a bargain for anyone wanting a decent quality, conventionally shaped no frills gaming mouse on the cheap. I personally find a smaller mouse than this more comfortable and use a Logitech Pebble 2 most of the time, which is not as accurate as this one and is less well suited to gaming, but I find more comfortable for long term use. Nevertheless this is neither a large nor small mouse, it's a pretty standard size so unless you like an especially small or an especially large mouse then you should be fine with this. If you prefer one of the ultra high DPI so you only have to move the mouse 2 millimetres for the pointer to travel 6 inches across the screen then you might want to get a higher DPI model, but for most people and most uses this mouse will be absolutely fine. I have run a few User Benchmark scans on my PC which included this mouse and rated it very highly as having "very fast" polling. I don't have the exact timing info handy any more, but User Benchmark is quite an agressive review site and I imagine if there were anything to pick fault in, I'd get to know all about it. A very easy product to recommend. Very good quality and functionality at a good price. Only criticism would be to make the driver easier to find on the web site. When I received the order, I realised that my initial thought wasn't wrong, and that it is indeed a great mouse for the price. I love the adjustable weights within the base of the mouse, making it adaptable for your preferred weight. Personally, I left it very much stock, with all the weights in place, as I prefer a mouse with a some weight behind it. After plugging it in, and installing and setting up the driver software package required to adjust the lighting schemes,button maps and sensitivity levels of the mouse, I was again pleasantly surprised by the quality of the driver software, and the ease of which it made adjusting and fine tuning everything to my hearts content. The only real issue I have with this mouse is, even though it IS a fully adjustable RGB LED mouse, sadly you can only change the LED colour of the TECKNET logo at the bottom of the mouse to the specific colour you want. Both the red arrows below the scroll wheel, and the scroll wheel itself are sadly non customisable. The scroll wheel LED colour is changeable, by changing modes, however this leaves you only being able to have it set to one of a pre-determined set of colours, and not being able to perfectly match it with the LED at the bottom of the palm grip as I had initially desired. So, as such, I have come to a compromise, whereby the scroll wheel and LED are different colours, the LED matching that of the keyboard I purchased at the same time, and the scroll wheel just having to be left a different shade of purple instead. If this is a deal breaker, then sadly this is not the mouse for you, and I instead suggest looking elsewhere. To summarise, I feel that, especially for the price, that this is an amazingly good mouse, and I would expect to have paid upwards of £50GBP for something of such high quality, and, if you're willing to compromise on that LED issue, and the fact that, for me at least, the sensitivity settings needed some tinkering from straight out the box, then yes, this is the mouse for you! I cannot fault it as a product, and, in fact, I am going to be investing in a few more of these in the coming months for use elsewhere I need them, as I find that this is such a pleasurable experience to use once I have set it up. The mouse is comfortable in the hand and you can easily adjust its responsiveness, so the high dpi rating doesn't ruin the mouse for gaming. So far I've used it with World of Tanks and Doom 2's Complex Doom LCA mod and it felt ok even at default settings - I didn't feel at a competitive disadvantage even in such fraught, do-or-die gaming environments. My previous mouse was a Razer Naga; I utterly hate Razer products and will never buy another, but when the mouse was working properly it felt much more precise than the TeckNet. Then again, the Razer Naga was £80, the TeckNet less than a tenner. I'd say the TeckNet is worth a try, especially if you don't want to pay absurd prices for something which isn't as reliable. UPDATE: Been using this mouse for a week or two now. Unlike more expensive, higher precision gaming mice, the TeckNet needs setting up properly in order to remain competitive at high level gaming where precision is required. The software that came with the mouse allows a very wide range of tweaking although it's not particularly clear what some of the settings do without experimenting. The mouse is much more accurate now, although I've noticed it struggles with difficult-to-make shots (eg your target is barely visible due to being in cover). The mouse is also much more precise in everyday use with few to no frustrations as there sometimes were before I tweaked it. The mouse still looks good and feels awesome and it's much better-shaped than the Razer Naga. Being able to increase the pointer's basic speed at the touch of a button, without having to muck about with software, is extremely useful. So overall it is a bit compromised, but you expect this for the price.
