The packaging was adequate (foam & cardboard).The lids are what prompted me to purchase this set. They are NOT water tight but they are snug enough when pouring. The lids can be rotated to pour, strain, and close. Easy to put on and take off. I found no information about the lids being BPA-free so I wouldn't microwave them.The set can nest inside each cup or on top of eachother with the lids on. The little beaker is nice but the glass is thinner than the cups (may explain the breakage during shipping). I liked that they are not wider at the top and narrower at the bottom (for dry ingredient measurements). Also, the handles don't heat up when liquids are microwaved (I have a couple of those - dangerous!).Happy that everything goes in the dishwasher (lids on top rack). Hopefully the printing won't disappear after several washings (I have a cup that did that - waste of money). I am very happy with this puchase. AND the price was right!
