The rope is soft but sturdy and make cable lifts feel challenging while maintaining muscle activation. The ones at my home gym are worn down and it's never available. I am impressed! The weight to the bar is heavy duty ! Very nice bar with multiple grip handles that targets different areas of the back which is a PLUS ! It’s super easy to use and no more bad comfort on my wrist !
