Never stay in the ice water longer than 5 minutes (2 min as a beginner) because you can get into real trouble shortly after you get out... if this happen, quickly into the warm shower to heat up the skin.

Updated Review. Our second one just died after only a couple months. We let it dry out between uses in our cold plunge but it still takes in moisture and eventually dies. We will keep up the search. We have tried a couple different thermometers like these for our polar plunge and they stopped working after the first use. I didn’t have high hopes for this one but it has worked great! It’s completely waterproof and the temp seems spot on as we also put it in our hot tub and it was on point with what are hot tub registered… It also picks the temp up surprisingly quick! It’s pretty simple to use as well. Click one button for temp, click another for timer and just hit power off to turn both off. We’ve been happy with it.
