Product Description          Music from the OC: Mix 2 is the second CD of music to accompany the hit US TV show. Featuring a mix of guitar bands from around the world, highlights include songs from The Eels, SFA, The Killers and Keane.             .co.uk          If you're a fan of the OC – and if you're reading this you probably are – then this may be the compilation for you. It starts off by alternating between lively, usually upbeat indie rock tracks from the likes of The Eels, The Killers and The Thrills, and more downbeat, angsty, sometimes frankly depressing tunes like Patrick Park's "Something Pretty" and the Super Furry Animals' "Hello Sunshine". Scattered among these are occasional gems like Dios' "You Got Me All Wrong", but the CD seems to run out of A-list material somewhat before the end.Now that the OC has a 'live' band on every week, many of the bands featured on the CD have performed their songs on the series itself, which should provide hard-core fans with a warm nostalgic glow… however, the intimate ties between the series and the CD are this compilation's weakness as well as its strength. So although it may save you from buying some disappointing albums, this one has to be recommended for OC addicts only. --Peter Farnell
