I confess I went on the hunt for something similar to this about 1-2 years ago, and I have a 32 inch touchscreen android hanging up in my kitchen that I obtained from a seller on Alibaba. It's nice, it's 4k!, it does it's job, we can see all the things with it. But does it look premium? Nope. Was it easy to get the things on it that I wanted? Nope. Does it phone home via various apps to China? You betcha. It lives on it's own little VLAN where it can be safe. From the moment I opened the box for this Cozyla 24 inch smart calendar, I was impressed. The packaging is excellent, it FEELS like you are getting a premium device, and when you turn it on/start it up, it's quick to make the changes you need, download an additional app (Fully Kiosk in my case) and use it. The cozyla does nothing weird on my network and doesn't require its own vlan either. It looks nice AND plays nice! I used to use Dakboard, but recently vibecoded a locally hosted replacement for Dakboard. Takes photos from my locally hosted Immich instance, pulls calendar events from my icalendar, and puts it all on display. Keep in mind, my current apps and such are optimized for that 32 inch screen, and I haven't adjusted them to better fit the 24 inch screen. But doesn't it look fantastic? I actually think the touchscreen responsiveness is much better with the Cozyla over my Alibaba purchase. I also use HomeAssistant to manage various parts of our lives - keep in mind that is also optimized for a 32 inch screen, so if some of the photos look a bit off, it's on me. Super impressed with this and wish I could get the larger one.
