While not much of a minus, I wonder how much it'll last since the smaller scissors are really pointy and you can probably imagine the repeated use damage to the case.The combs are nice, and very practical with one being transportable and the other one suited for a more .. thorough comb, so to speak.But the scissors ! The scissors are the main reason we're buying this, after all. The small ones are really great and really small haha. Fits well in the hand and has pointy ends to get to those pesky hairs that keep you away from your dream mustache or to get those finer grooming details a non-pointed scissor could not do. Did I mention they're sharp ? They're really sharp and you get good feedback when cutting.The bigger ones though, oh boy. These are the superstar ! Construction wise they are really well built, I don't know how to put it into words more specifically, but that's how I feel. I just trust them. They do, however have smaller rings for the fingers than the small scissors and that took me a bit by surprise. It's not an inconvenient but it was a bit weird at first, now I'm all used to it ! That's it for the construction, but for the sharpness.... well, I had a mild freak out on how good they cut. It's like, they don't even encounter resistance from the hair. You barely feel feedback unless you're cutting like way more than a couple of hairs and maybe even then, it's just the sound that gives the grooming away. They are FREAKISHLY sharp, like, LASER sharp, it's only that you can't hear the lasers. I haven't tried it yet, but I wonder if the "unlucky" hairs even know what's coming for them. I realize now that my existing trimming scissors are pretty poor compared to this Aberlite set. The larger pair are razor sharp and effortless to use - The smaller pair are perfect for those close trimming jobs, moustache and lip area for eg. The two combs and nice case are the icing on the cake. Highly recommended. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Good kit, let down by poor protection for small scissors *by R***. on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 December 2018* The larger, 5", scissors are easy to use & effective. The small wooden comb is effective for both beard & moustache, and is nicely tapered so that it sits well in the hand - it would probably apply wax or balm well, but I have another wooden comb which I use for this. The plastic comb is effective enough, but nothing special. The small scissors are extremely sharply pointed, and this particular pair is very stiff. Combined with the small size, I've found that this makes them difficult to use - although the stiffness will probably wear off with use/lubrication. In truth, I don't have much use for small detail scissors, since my moustache is worn long & waxed. As travel scissors these would not be my choice, due to the extreme points.The case was a key factor in my choice of purpose, and does a good job of protecting the tools. My main gripe is that, while the larger scissors have a reasonably strong holster, the small ones are held in a transparent pocket, which seemes unlikely to stand up to repeated stowing of their sharp points.
