I scrawl** A: Good afternoon, I am told that the 'pen' creates an image which is replicated electronically and would therefore reproduce whatever you create. I understand that a function of the devise is that the application allows the user to translate the written word into typeface at which time its success is dependent on its ability to recognise characters and translate them into text. The reviews for the unit suggest that its ability to convert less than perfect writing is exceptional but this must be somewhat subjective. I hope this is some help. I have had two pens, both failed in the same way.
