It arrived looking smart and well packed in a clear plastic envelope--just like you get when you buy from the shops.But upon unfolding I discovered that the print is not on both sides of the duvet cover or pillowslips; the underside is a cold-looking, plain, pale blue.Secondly as with any new items of bedding, towelling or clothing I gave the set a wash (following the manufacturer's instructions) before use. After it dried I was dismayed to see that is looks totally washed out, like bedding that's been around for decades, not two days. The material feels thin and creases very easily. I know this item has a shabby-chic design, which is what we wanted, but after washing it the whole set appears to be completely shabby and no trace of chic.I bought this set for a newly decorated room because it matches theme of wallpaper, but where everything else looks lovely, new and crisp, this bedding set look like it's seen better days.I bought the set for £27.99 and noticed within a few days it has gone up to £32. I would be devastated to have paid that much for it.
