We have purchased Flexson stands for 3 other rooms of our house for Play 1s that we use in our bedroom and family room, and Play 3s that we use in our theater room. We decided the Play 1s could stand to be a little louder for dramatic effect with movie watching, so upgraded and purchased two Play 5s and these stands are PERFECT. They are not wobbly and I never fear that someone is going to bump into them to knock them over, 1) because they are sturdy and 2) because the Play 5s are big enough that they're pretty hard to miss. If you have wood floors, you don't have to use the little spikes on the bottom (showing in the photo) as they also come with rubber stick on "feet" (little balls of rubber basically) to attach to the bottom so there is no chance of scratching your floors. The power cord should be fished through the bottom and top of the stand base so it is hidden, only the cord will come out from the bottom of the stand (in the back) and into your wall outlet. There are also two little plastic "screws" on the back of the stand top that you screw in so they press against the speaker - this ensures a tight fit. The screws are plastic and won't damage your speaker any, and the speaker fits perfectly on top in a little "housing" shelf. I do not worry that it will fall of or become damaged in any way. One very important detail to note -- THIS IS ONLY ONE STAND - not like the speaker stands for other models such as the Play 1 and Play 3, which come in pairs. This is JUST ONE SPEAKER STAND. So yes, a little pricey.. but still worth it. Great stand. I attached a picture of the stand next to a standard 11.5" x 5.5" air vent on the floor for sizing perspective. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful, Modern, Stand *by R***. on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on March 3, 2015* This stand is solidly built and looks fantastic. It matches the color of the speaker very well. It's modern and sleek. It's an excellent compliment to the SONOS Play 5 speaker system. My only criticism is the two screws in the back that are supposed to hold the speaker in place do not really hold the speaker well. Just make sure to put the speaker in a location that will not get bumped or knocked. It's a heavy weight item that is made of steel. The cord is fed down that back of the stand through the tubular steel so it's hidden and comes out the back. The Sonos cord that is remaining out the back is about 2 1/2 - 3 feet long. Don't hesitate to make this purchase. I will be buying a second one. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ worked for me *by B***D on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on May 3, 2015* Really filled a need I had. Speakers had to be placed along a window wall, so no way to wall mount or sit on existing furniture. Didn't want them on the floor either since sound would be "blocked" by room furniture and preferred to have them more at ear level. These low profile stands perfectly fit the speakers and didn't call attention to themselves or block the view out the window. Only downside - which is mainly an operator error issue - is that the speakers are not actually attached to the stands but just kind of fastened in place, so if you pick them up the wrong way so they go sideways if you are trying to move them, the speakers can topple off the stands.
