Review: A Spray Product Really is best for Most Applications - I have a few pruning cuts in a number of tress and one poor tree that was moved poorly by some landscapers. This aerosol spray is used just like spray paint. Add like 3 layers over a few days. Dries well, gets into spaces in the cut or in the damaged areas and makes a good total seal. Make sure you have no lose bark in the application site. Yes, stay out of drifting spray, take breaks, wear a dust mask and best to use on a warmer day with sun & no wind. I just finished applications in the end of September and first few days of October in the NYC area with temps in the 60s.

**Q: can it be used on cedar trees?**
A: I used it on grape vines. I don't see why it would not work on cedar trees.

A: Thank you for your question, Pamela. Tanglefoot Tree Pruning Sealer (Aerosol) contains a mixture of asphalt and Stoddard Solvent (mineral spirits/petroleum distillates). There are no inert ingredients. When used according to directions, this product provides a protective coating against entry of moisture, insects, and disease, and prevents excess sap flow.

**Q: Can this be used on citrus plants**
A: On the front of the can it says fruit, shade trees and ornamentals. So based on that i would say yes. I used it on a shade tree and it worked great.

**Q: I have a tree scorched from a fire. Would this work to keep the burned part of the tree from getting black soot on whatever touches it?**
