It has an adhesive that holds it to the inside of the plastic cover and left enough room for my mirror. **Q: Is it easy to remove ?** A: I sure hope not. If you do want to remove it, park in the sun to warm it up. You'll probably also need some Goo Gone. **Q: I have my filter set for a Silverado 2500. I have had a few sets of these and they are usually cheap junk that flaps off in the wind in a few weeks at most BUT these! These are different, the adhesive strips hold very well... At the texture of the material is almost a exact match to the black trip plastic of the rearview mirrors and look very seamless. Meaning, they went on nicely and look good, but let's see how the adhesive holds up, especially in a carwash. I could always just remove all the adhesive on them and apply another stronger one to put on them. I had to do that with the last pair of mirror visors that I had. I'm only replacing them, because someone ripped one of them off the mirror and I can't find it. It happened at a mechanics shop, but no one owned up to it.
