The bottle suggested using 2 if we wanted to deep color which we did and we are very happy with the results. I wish I had a before picture but the after looks like a new cover. We tried the powder version once before and got ok results but the liquid version was superb. It also suggested adding salt to the water and we did and I am guessing it helped hold the color. I wanted to restore the denim to its original dark denim color. I am happy with the color. I would say that the color is dark navy. Definitely not royal blue. **Q: Would this dye something wine colored ?** A: The darker the fabric the more difficult it will be to cover the original color. **Q: I was just wondering would this dye work on my winter jacket? I have a milky white jacket and I'm so tired of having to wash it so often.Pls let me kn** A: I use Rit dye on the kids polyester blend school uniform pants, knit sweaters and cotton blend leggings… and usually have pretty good luck. I don’t know enough to safely go along with an unknown material or with a jacket. But I highly recommend using it in the wash machine, along with the salt, and following the directions to a T. **Q: Can I ise this on scrubs that I my hisband got white bright off stains on it?** A: You can try. If the fabric is partly synthetic, such as a poly-cotton blend, then it won't accept much dye.
