I used this to brew a Number 8 Belgian clone. It was my first experience doing a Belgian style. Smacked the pack on brew day right before I started and it was fully swelled when it was time to pitch. The ferment was smooth down to an FG of 1.015. After one month in the bottle, the taste is right but it needs to condition for a couple more months.

I mistakenly had this shipped without an ice pack (I would suggest you find a supplier who offers that option).  I refrigerated the yeast pack when it came in, then used it about a month later.  This one barely swelled up (if at all) compared to other Yeast packs I've used previously.  I decided to pitch it anyway and wait to see if it activated (with a backup in hand in case).  Overnight my brew started bubbling happily.  It's still fermenting now, so I still don't know whether it was a complete success, but at least there's some hope if you are ready to pitch and your pack hasn't swollen.
