The metal parts are well made, seem to be machined pretty well, the finish is great, and it was super easy to install. You could probably get this part cheaper on ebay or GearBest, but it's hard to beat Prime shipping and free no-nonsense returns. I've had this installed for a few months now and it works flawlessly for PLA, and would probably work well with flexible filaments. The only problem I have is too much tension, which creates some PLA dust towards the back from the extruder gear biting into the filament. I can probably print a part to fix that, so I'm not going to dock a star considering how cheap this part was. Review: Run, Don't Walk, To Replace The Stock Plastic Extruder On Your Ender Series Printer! - Like so many other people with an Ender 3 v2 the plastic extruder arm on my printer cracked (and underneath where it's not easily seen) which threw off my prints. A metal extruder is literally the first thing everyone told me to replace and I waited too long to do so to my folly. This parts pack has everything I needed to replace the stock extruder using the tools that came with my printer. I've had it on there for a few weeks now, through maybe 3-4 spools of material (mostly PLA+) and I've had no issues with it. I just picked up a second printer and I plan to order this same package for that printer as well. That said, I do have two comments: It would be nice if the gear for the extruder were steel or some other harder material. This isn't enough of a criticism to ding this package as you can pick up several spares for relatively little money and it's not a bad idea to have some lying around. You must re-calibrate your e-steps after you change out your extruder! Many people reading these reviews will already know this but someone brand new to 3D printing who hasn't done much (any?) research any changing the extruder may not know they need to do this. This step is not optional, it is essential to make sure your printer is receiving the correct amount of filament it needs for optimal prints!
